The archeological museum in Myrina is housed in a three-story neoclassical building, located in the Romeikos Gialos quarter, and displays findings from the prehistoric era to Byzantine times. Learn the entire chronological history of the island through interactive maps, explanatory signs and photographs.
Specifically, you’ll be able to view artifacts from ancient cities Hephaestia, Poliochni, Myrina and the prehistoric settlement of Koukonisi. Also curated there are items from the sanctuary of Great Goddess Kaviria and the temple of Artemis. Finally, don’t miss the antiquities of Imvros and the carved inscriptions discovered in the castle of Myrina.
