Seagull beach

Set in a scenic cove, at a distance of 10 km from the city of Chios and near the village of Mersinidi, is the pretty and popular  Seagull Beach. You’ll get here by following the road to Kardamila, and seeing the seagull refuge that precedes the beach.  With a mountainous background providing shade and shelter to this sandy seashore, you will find your swimming experience in the aqua-green, virgin waters to be unique, fun and relaxing, and your sunbathing under the free umbrellas will be just as enjoyable. 

The beach bar, literally steps away from the lapping waves, is popular with tourists and the local youth scene, while the beach’s unique attraction is the colorful waters. It source is the freshwater spring, originating high up in the adjacent mountain, that trickles its way down into the seawater along the beach.
