Agia Irene in Ikaria

The temple of Saint Irene, is located in the settlement of Plagia, and used to be the Metropolitan Temple of the old principle town of Ikaria, the famous Doliche. Experts suggest that the church was made of materials taken from the ancient temple of Dionysus, during the 6th or 7th century AD.
