Agia Zoni
The monastery of Agia Zoni, is located in the valley of Vlamaris, about nine kilometers east of the capital town of Samos. It was founded by a monk named Meletius, in 1695.
It is a basilica temple with a dome, and in it you can admire the beautiful frescoes that date back to the 17th century. The wooden temple is decorated by an Abbot named Gabriel in the early 19th century. Also, in the monastery you can find a library that houses important patriarchic writings and other precious objects.
Finally, it should be noted, that the monastery celebrates on August 31.
