Eftalou Activities:

Eftalou Hot Springs

Eftalou is famed for its thermal springs and a visit here is unarguably one of the most relaxing experiences you are likely to have. The well-managed Ottoman bathhouse is set right on the shore of Eftalou beach. It contains a common bathing pool and may be used by lone visitors, couples or groups of up to 6 persons. The base of the pool is carpeted by pebbles; visitors sit on large slabs and let the healing hot water work on their bodies to the sound of the waves rolling against the shore just outside.

If you require privacy (and would prefer to adjust the temperature of the spring water to your own taste) it might be wise to use a private basin in the adjacent new spa facilities.
A visit to the healing springs of Eftalou will leave you feeling deeply rejuvenated. Containing chloride, sodium, radium and a variety of minerals, the spring water of Eftalou is known to relieve gynecological and skin conditions, gallstones, neuralgia, rheumatism and arthritis. Enjoy a soak in the thermal baths, then plunge into the cool waters of the beach outside the bath-house - the experience is simply exhilarating.

The bathhouse is open between 9 am and 6 pm. There is a charge of 5.00 € to use the new bathing facilities and 4.00 € to use the common bathing pool. Professional full-body massage is also available.

Yoga in Eftalou

The school owners organize a series of workshops - choose one that suits you, come to the class and enjoy a sense of true freedom!

Nearby Attractions

The shoreline of Eftalou extends for a total of 10 kilometers towards the harbor of Skala Sykamia. Its beaches are famed for their tranquility and offer seclusion much favored by naturists. The main beach at Eftalou is easily accessible by local bus and is a twenty-minute walk from the town of Molyvos. It is a long pebble-and-sand beach preferred for its clear waters and serene atmosphere. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag certification attesting to the purity of its water. Beach mats and rubber sandals are a necessity here as some may find the beach pebbles too hard to walk or lie upon.

Located at the end of the asphalt road running along the seafront is the beach of Agii Anargyri (also spelled ‘Agioi Anargyroi’ / you may see either spelling on road signs to the beach). The beach consists of a group of 6 pebbled inlets backed by a cliff. There are changing cabins and showers, a restaurant and the tiny Agii Anargyri chapel. Another Blue Flag beach, Agii Anargyri is one of the prettiest remote beaches on Lesvos island.
