Kontakeika

Kontakeika, is a beautiful settlement not far away from Karlovasi. It has a population of about 580 inhabitants, who are mainly engaged in agriculture. Only a little outside the settlement, you will find Kastrovouni, where still stands a fortress built by the Genoese who had once conquered the island. You can also take a walk the beautiful port of Saint Nicholas, located near Kontakeika, sit at one of its taverns and restaurants and enjoy your meal by the sea.
