Kountouridia Boat Trips to Perama and Gera's Gulf of Lesvos

Every day, three boats carrying about 30-50 people, inhabitants of the areas around the harbors of Kountouridia and Perama, but also from areas farther away as Plomari who served to go to their jobs or do their shopping in the town of Mytilene.

During the summer months, of course, there are many tourists who experience a "ride" in the gulf of Gera in the traditional way.

From seven in the morning, the boats waiting for the world to reach the Kountouridia bus to pass him over. "The bus brings passengers, go to the opposite, take up those waiting there and bring them here," says the owner Stelios.

Every hour until eight and a half in the evening and at the cost of one euro, the boats crossing the bay, on a route that takes about 10 minutes. However, it is possible for anyone who wants to have private one of the boats, to have trips around the bay or simply to pass across.

In this case, the fee rises to four euros.
