Mavri Rahi

The crest of Mavri Rahi is one of the major attractions of Psara. There, it was written the most important piece of history of the island during the Greek Revolution. It is located at the southern tip of the peninsula and there you can see some walls that still survive until from that heroic age. In addition, there is a rock in the position where was the powder keg and a simple monument to the 120 defenders of the island, who blew themselves up in order to avoid falling into the hands of the Ottomans.
