Tambouro Keftedes or Dravolia


Tambouras, cheese, 1 onion, salt, pepper, flour


Peel the tambouras, chop them up into small pieces and bring to a boil, add a pinch of salt.  After they thoroughly boil, place them in a strainer.  At the same time, we add the cheese and half of the onion, finely chopped, to the pot.  Continue to mix until melted.  Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and ½ kilo of flour and mix well.  Next is the opening of the crust.  Add evenly the entire mixture into the crust. 

We now cut the portions with the aid of a glass, so as to take the desired shape, and then continue to let it boil until fully cooked.  In a separate pan, over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter and add cheese.  Whenever we are ready to shut off the heat from our mixture, pour the melted cheese and butter sauce over the top.
