In the Aegean island of Lesvos, where nature meets tradition you can taste the famous Olive Oil, which traditionally holds a high place in the olive oil market in Greece and abroad.

One of the most lavish goods produced by the Greek land is virgin olive oil. As the main component of the Mediterranean diet, sculpted from the purity of nature and the beneficial effect of the sun and the Mediterranean climate, the Greek olive oil is famous for its rich texture, vibrant flavor and great nutritional value, that give it its beneficial health properties.

The 10 million olive trees which overwelm the island of Lesvos, since antiquity generously gift the locals with the natural treasure of olives from which the high quality virgin olive oil is produced. With its features consisting of low acidity, light taste and unique aroma the Lesvian virgin olive oil is unlike any other, having made its own distinctive course throughout the centuries.

A course that the Papadellis family has embraced with love, making sure to offer responsibly and devotedly the incomparable taste and value of the extra virgin olive oil of Mytilene. The extra virgin olive oil Sapfo of Mytilene, which it has offered for the past year on the market and on our plates, stands out for its unique flavor.

The Papadellis family counts more than 30 years in the production of olives, with the first olive press located in Thermi Lesvos. In 2004, they became active in the field of exports and imports, with the headquarters located now in Pigi Lesvos. By 2012, it catered for large market companies, thus contributing to the emergence of the Lesvian olive oil throughout the country and abroad and to its global recognition.

Last year they entered dynamically in the development of bottled extra virgin olive oil, providing the extra virgin olive oil, unique in aroma and taste, Sapfo of Mytilene. Already by the new year, the company fueled with 1100 tons three large companies, two Spanish and one Italian.

Working with the most reliable and modern bottling facility of Lesvos "Papadellis Haralambos & Co." as the company is now named, today provides the high quality and uniquely tasting Sapfo of Mytilene, guaranteed by its long course in the field and special love for production.

The desire for growth and development of its immense capabilities along with the need for dynamic presence in the production and marketing of oil, has resulted in that one of the immediate priorities set is the acquiry of its own bottling facilities on private land, in Pigi Lesvos.

The Mytilene extra virgin olive oil, Sapfo, is the result of the effort to utilize the exceptional products generously offered by the rich nature of Lesvos, through the production of palatable and nutritious oil, which bears the unique stamp of Mediterranean origin and the long Greek tradition.
