Skalochori

Skalochori is 58 kilometers from Mytilene and its school is of great interest due to the fact that it is built exclusively from local rocks. Heading to the north, you will be lead to the sea, a place called “Kalo Limani” or “Tsamour Limani” where you can fill your lungs with fresh air. In the eastern ppart of the area there are remains of the medieval castle named “Ovriokastro”. If you wish to go for a swimming, then you should visit the bays of “Mikri (small) Tsichranta” or “Megali (Large) Tsichranta”. Mikri Tsichranta is much more isolated.
