Agio Galas

Agio Galas village is 70 km away from the town of Chios and is the most remote settlement of the island. It has taken his name from the milky liquid that trickles in the cave of the area.


It is worth visiting the tower which is located on the village square as well as the churches of Panagias Agiogalousainas and Agias Annas (“St. Anne”) which are at the entrance and inside the cave of Agio Galas.

 

Last but not least, a few kilometers outside the village you will find the beach of Agiasmata with the famous medicinal baths.
