Megalithic Monuments (Menhir)

At the eastern tip of the island, not far away from Drakano and the bay of Iero, is the area of “Propezoulopi”, where the famous megalithic monuments (Menhir) stand out. These prehistoric limestone columns are from 1.22 to 2.80 meters tall and adjascent to each other, in an almost straight line. Many of them are bent on the ground, while others remain in their position. Near them, you will find many tombs of soil. The area has a fantastic view to the bay of Iero.
