August is a month full of celebrations and events. On the 6th of August,  is celebrated the Metamorphosis of Savior (a religious anniversary) and the Battle of Mycale. That day, in Karlovasi, there is a feast that takes place by the river with folk music and dance. Feasts you can also find in the villages of Ampelos. Koumeika, Pythagorean and Saint Constantine. Moreover, because of the anniversary of the Battle in Mycale, swimming races are held in Pythagorean.
